Lee Jackson Farms is owned by Lee Jackson Jr. Lee was born and raised in Lowndes County, and is a graduate of The University of Alabama. Lowndes County is in the Black Belt region of Alabama. Lee’s passion for the earth and the shrimp farming process is what makes our farm run. We are proud to be a local, family-owned, Alabama farm and are passionate about delivering a high-quality product to all of our customers.
FRESH FROM A SALTWATER AQUIFER
Our shrimp is farm-raised right here in Hayneville, Alabama. We hand select our shrimp to ensure that our customers receive only the highest quality shrimp. Our shrimp take 4-5 months to grow, and we harvest them over the course of 4-5 weeks, from September to October. Because our shrimp is raised in a saltwater aquifer, it is free from any contaminants found in Gulf shrimp.
